NON-LITURGICAL & OTHER GROUPS/ORGANIZATIONS

  • Airdrie Catholic Prayer Group – Aspires to instill among its members the devotion to The Blessed Mother and The Divine Mercy through prayers and fellowship.   It affirms the Universality of the Catholic faith and strives to develop a deeper knowledge of The Catholic Faith and Belief through actions and the recollection of The Life of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Baptism Preparation Team – Assist parents and parents-to-be in understanding the importance of baptism as the beginning of our Catholic faith journey.
  • Catholic Women’s League – The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is a place of fellowship as well as personal and spiritual growth, open to both Catholic and non-Catholic women alike.  The CWL is also a major women’s organization confronting controversial issues in our society and representing the views of Catholic women to both provincial and federal governments.
  • Children’s Religious Education – Adults interested in teaching our Catholic Faith (program and training provided) to children who do not attend Catholic Schools. Police check required.
  • Cookies & Coffee – Help once per month in the kitchen after Mass at either Saturday or Sunday.
  • Couples for Christ – A Catholic movement intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian Family life.
  • Fund Raising Committee – Help to organize fund raising events to pay off the mortgage.
  • In Her Shoes Moms’ Group – Includes a mix of teaching/discussion, spiritual growth, service, and socializing.  We want to welcome Moms 'in all shoes,' in every stage of motherhood, and every culture.
  • Knights of Columbus - From the moment of the founding of the Knights of Columbus in 1882, charity has been the first principle. We are men of faith and men of action.
  • Marriage Preparation – Assist couples in preparing for marriage.
  • Pastoral Care – Visiting and praying with the ill, shut in and offering the Body of Christ to them. Police check required.
  • Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) – Confirmed Catholic adults who are interested in helping adults prepare to receive the sacraments of initiation into the Catholic faith.
  • Sacramental Team (First Communion, Reconciliation & Confirmation) – Adults and youth grades 7 and up to help with workshop registration and children’s retreats.
  • Secular Order of St. Francis of Assisi – Inquiry stage for practicing Catholics who are 18+ years
  • St. Vincent de Paul – Membership is open to all who are interested in living the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy. Membership meets once a month.  Police check required.
  • Vacation Bible School – The summer camp is a week of fun in which children will experience God's love through many theme based activities. Parent and youth volunteers ages 13 and up are needed.   Police check required.
  • Welcoming Committee – Welcoming new parishioners, visiting them in their homes, and introducing them to the parish.
  • Youth Group Team – Working with youth in grades 7 through 12. Must be 18 years and older.  Most important quality you must possess is to enjoy sharing your time & faith with our youth. Police check required.
